   About Us

Welcome
CoTherm of America Corporation focuses on innovating, developing and commercializing systems in the sustainable energy field. In 2005, founder Ted Jagusztyn, with over 30 years experience in the HVAC, field began exploring areas of untapped systems that would lead to a better life for the generations of his children and grandchildren. Cotherm's principals and network of science advisors have literally hundreds of years of experience in the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) markets and related research fields.

Realizing that each day over 5% of the world energy is expended on burning fossil fuels to heat water, a viable sustainable alternative was sought. A Fuel-Less Water Heater six times more efficient than fuel burning water heaters was studied, market tested and patented. This innovation is in the commercialization stage with the hotel market as an initial target market segment. Hospitals, factories and residences heating water without burning fuel is the goal for the first quarter of this century.

While Hydroelectric Power Generation and or Geothermal Energy have become common sustainable alternatives, let us introduce you to Cotherm’s Drilled HydroThermal Energy (DHE). Hydrothermal Energy is the process of generating energy from a large body of water. There are many coastal communities around the world near to offshore 4°C (39°F) cold water. This cold water, when brought onshore, can be used for sustainable cooling whereby facilities can save 90% of the cost of electric air conditioning. In addition, Drilled Hydrothermal uses a natural temperature difference of at least 20°C (36°F) and, using heat engines, generates power sustainably. CoTherm’s Innovative step is to use directional drilling to drill from shore, underneath the coast and sea bottom and poke through an undersea canyon wall to erect conduits to transport cold and warm water to onshore wells. We are developing locations and seeking stakeholders in this new area of alternative energy. We believe that “the best way to predict the future, is to invent it.” If you are interested in learning more, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Vision
We look to provide sustainable alternatives for commercial water heating, district cooling and power generation. We welcome the opportunity to work with leaders in the various industries who understand the importance and necessity of sustainable living.

Mission
To provide innovations for customers in need of sustainable alternatives.

Name and Logo
CoTherm’s name was derived from Latin and Greek words meaning “with heat.” The core of our business revolves around the ability to work with natures heat to produce sustainable energy. The four integrated sphere’s in Cotherm’s logo represents nature’s four elements: water, fire, earth and air. The center overlap represents the integration of the sun’s energy. The logo is tilted 23.5° to represent the axial tilt of the earth.
